Server Relocation February 3 - 14
Beginning Friday, February 3, 2006, all the websites, applications, and services served by the AHNR-IT Systems Facility in Smyth Hall will be downed in order to facilitate the move of the racks and servers to the Information Systems Building (ISB) Machine Room located on Pratt Drive. This is a major move and the following information is provided to help you plan ahead for the downtime.
Relocation Schedule
This schedule is dependent on many outside factors, but every available resource will be utilized in order to strictly adhere to the deadline. During this time it is possible that some services will become available before others.
- Friday, February 3, 2006: All servers will be downed, dismantled and prepped for transport (services will become unavailable)
- Monday, February 6, 2006: Physical Plant will move all equipment to the ISB.
- February 7-13, 2006: Assembly and configuration of the equipment will begin. Critical services will be brought online in priority order during this period.
- February 14, 2006: All services restored.
