All network circuits and equipment moves are currently handled by AHNR-IT. Unit coordinators must communicate needs with regards to a potential move at least 120 days prior to the needed service date. We will coordinate all moves with the respective service provider. Failure to comply with this timeline may cause the new unit location to be without service for an unspecified time. Choice of service provider is at the discretion of AHNR-IT and may be based on factors such as availability, bandwidth or monthly service cost. Once the selected service provider has given AHNR-IT a due date, we will contact the respective AIT and unit coordinator. AHNR-IT is responsible for all costs associated with moving the network circuit and equipment.
All AHNR-IT network equipment will be moved by AHNR-IT, the service provider, or the office’s respective AIT. This will be determined by AHNR-IT staff depending on the circumstances related to the move.
Internal wiring is the responsibility of the office requesting the move. Internal wiring consists of two or more Ethernet lines per office connected to a patch panel located within a reasonable distance to the equipment. AHNR-IT will consult with the unit coordinator and/or the contractor. However, obtaining quotes and payment of invoices is the responsibility of the office requesting the move.
After an office relocates, AHNR-IT will continue to pay the monthly connection fees to the service provider.
