CD/DVD Duplication

    Zeus CD/DVD Duplicator
Our Zeus Series AU7 autoloader CD/DVD duplicator can copy up to 420 CD/DVDs in one session and can print directly onto 52X inkjet-printable CDs and 16X inkjet printable DVDs.

The CD/DVD duplicator is located in Hutcheson Hall and is available by appointment only.

Creating and Duplicating CD/DVDs

  • You will need to supply the media (see below) for your duplication job.  AHNR-IT will supply the ink if labels need to be printed onto the CD/DVDs.
  • Clients should create their CD or DVD master disc in advance of their duplicating appointment.
  • Text labels can be created in the lab with the option of adding a Virginia Tech logo or other logos. Logo resolution should be 150 to 300 dots per inch. Resolutions lower than 150dpi will result in grainy, poor quality labels. (Beware of images copied from a website!)
  • Most jobs should be dropped off and picked up separately.  If your job is fairly small, you may be able to wait until it is finished.
  • If requested, the finished CD/DVD can be placed into paper sleeves with a transparent window.  You will need to provide the sleeves.

Recommended Media

  • For CD, Any CD-R, 52X, InkJet printable white
  • For DVD, Any DVD-R 4.7GB, 1X/16X, InkJet printable white (note: single layer only)
  • For Sleeves, we recommend simple paper sleeves with a transparent window

One source for all the above supplies is: http://www.tapeandmedia.com/

AHNR-IT keeps a small supply of CDs, DVDs, and sleeves in stock if you cannot supply these items before the job needs to be completed.  You are welcome to use these items as long as they are replaced.
